ABOUT ME

I have worked as a midwife for over 30 years. I have always been a strong advocate for women, for choice and have strived for many years  to get the best possible outcomes for women in my care. One women in my care once described me in a national survey as a "Mint Midwife" which did make me pretty proud. 

From 2009 to 2017, I managed and developed the "Outstanding" Parent Education service at the RVI in Newcastle and our classes were highly thought of.

I have a BSc Hons degree in Midwifery Sciences and am also a qualified teacher of adults (PGCE). The courses I teach are evidence based and crucially built upon what is safe, sensible and possible. I use no gimmicks and offer no freebies. I have advocated for and supported many women and their partners in labour to aim for the birth they wanted.

I am also one of the most experienced Hypnobirthing teachers in the North East of England
